It's the most wonderful time of the month! And what a month is has been. With an entire new ALBUM from Jacob Collier, and an exploration of tunes from the chillest TV adverts, August has been a sonic cracker for the senses.

Some absolute wild ones in that 'list. Picks of the month have to be Violent Sun by Everything Everything, In Too Deep from Jacob Collier, and some big 70s vibes from Tim Maia.

Another unique avenue of this month's music was from the world of TV advertising. In the UK, there are some sweet advertising campaigns from the AA and Churchill insurance. Other than sharing the common themes of dogs and chill-ness, these two 'verts have some undeniably sweet tunes which made it straight into my basket this month.

The AA has used Sophie Tucker's Drinkee to score their story of a quarantine-confined dog dreaming of the open road.

Back in late 2019, this incredibly chill canine skateboarded around to the sounds of Britney Stoney's O.D. To this day, the pup still skates on our TVs.
